Ludovic Basset is the Director General of the European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA), overseeing EASA’s efforts to promote the use of self-regulation in advertising, to uphold responsible advertising standards across Europe and foster ethical practices in a rapidly evolving industry. Ludovic is also a member of the leadership team of the ICC Global Marketing & Advertising Commission, and serves as Chair of the ICC Belgium Sub-Commission on Advertising Self-regulation. Ludovic has two decades of experience navigating European regulatory and public affairs landscapes. Before joining EASA, he notably led the EU affairs practice at General Motors and held leadership positions in European trade associations and in a French public affairs consultancy. A French and Belgian national, Ludovic began his career as a lecturer in European Law. He holds degrees in Law, International Relations, and Political Science from universities in France and the UK. Ludovic Basset continues to regularly speaks at universities in France and Belgium, sharing his experience in Public Affairs.
