Born in Mexico, Karla has 13+ years of experience in varied PR, Social Media, Communications and Marketing positions. She holds a Master’s degree in Communication Science with a major in Entertainment Communications from the University of Amsterdam. She started her career at Nissan, managing product PR for Nissan and Infiniti and PR for the Infiniti RedBull Racing team for Mexico and LATAM. In 2013 she joined BBVA to lead Global Marketing Communications for Tech & Engineering. She moved to the Netherlands in 2017, joining Heineken’s Internal Communications team, eventually shifting to Marketing & Events where she was part of the global sponsorships team, working with partner’s such as KLM and sponsorship events such as Formula 1 & UEFA. In 2020, she joined a tech startup, leading the B2B Marketing Communications strategy. In 2021 she joined Philips as Content & Channels Manager and in 2022 she joined Booking.com, managing Global Social Media Insights.
